THE POPPY VOID
Written by Co-Founder Jarod Duncan, this 120-minute stage play follows the reunion of two estranged twins when they unexpectedly enroll in the same graduate psychology program.
Antony discovers Apollo and her cult-like cohort practicing a familiar form of sleep possession, they dubbed as “R.E.M tapping.” Under the guise of scientific discovery, this group of students must face their darkest realities through this insatiable need to push the boundaries. Will they over-indulge and hurt the ones they love? Can they resolve their past traumas? Will they destroy their professional careers before they’ve begun?
Performed in 4 SOLD OUT shows at the Loft Theater in North Hollywood, California.
To kickstart our production, The Prophets fundraised upwards of $4000. This money helped us pay for the theater, our stage furniture, sourced & hand-made props, wardrobe and logistics.
Without these donations, The Poppy Void would not have been possible- we extend our deepest gratitude to our generous donors and production partners for supporting local artists and allowing us to create these worlds.
