MEET THE PROPHETS
Prophet House Productions is a home to passionate and inspired artists looking to tell stories, provoke emotion, and establish community. Founded and operated by a group of POC and LGBTQIA+ actors, our mission is to conceive works of art that encourage imagination and introspection. What started as a college friendship, slowly evolved into a strong willed group of people looking to create opportunities for themselves by sharing art.
We are a diverse team of writers, actors, designers, and directors committed to sharing compelling stories that confront societal faults, sexuality, pain, and the human psyche. We specialize in live theater and interpretive movement to bring these visions to life. We will continue through the revival of live theater plays but are open to all creative concepts- short films, spoken word, one-act events, variety performances…some of which is already on it’s way.
This company was built on the foundation of friendship- the values we hold close to us are vulnerability, support, and fun. These are our guiding prophecies that ensure we operate within a non-judgmental and respectful work environment. We prioritize honest communication and an open-minded approach to all ideas, conversations, and productions. These practices keep us connected to one another and committed to creating the craziest sh*t you’ll ever see.
